The ugly mask of White supremacy never comes off for the Latino community. We have to endure injustice and brutality on an almost daily basis. Sadly, far too many Americans have been emboldened to proudly display their racist beliefs in public. Their refusal to discard their racist beliefs is slowly eroding the fabric of this nation. Right now we are witnessing inequality in the streets, but tomorrow we will see this type of inequality in the workplace. The discrimination levels are going through the roof and Latinos are the ones suffering.
We are going to see statistics that show our quality of life being negatively impacted more than ever. Our nation's cancer of racism is flaring up to epic levels. This racist cancer has inflicted this nation for hundreds of years, and we are regrettably witnessing another flare up. The major problem is that the racist cancer is planting the seeds of civil turmoil. Due to their shortsightedness, racist don’t realize that you can only oppress people for so long, eventually they will rise up. We can only hope and pray that the racist scourge will wake up and realize that we all must be able to participate or the whole system will fail.
